Let’s talk brands…
I started my hairdressing career off using Wella which was a great brand, no doubt about that, however, I decided to go down a cruelty free, vegan, eco friendly and organic route and I found OWAY. OWAY has been an amazing brand to work with, so much to learn and so many different products to figure out. The styling range smells just amazing, the colours are great, the grey coverage is fantastic and I am thoroughly loving working with OWAY. I also have continuous and regular training with OWAY.
I have finally invested in Olaplex after a year of researching the product. I couldn’t have wished for a better product to provide to my clients.
Olaplex is a revolutionary in-salon system that seeks out and helps to permanently rebuild any damaged disulfide bonds within the hair, those very same bonds that provide elasticity and strength to the hair. These bonds can break during chemical processes, particularly during colouring, relaxing, keratin treatments and perming. They can also be damaged with the use of thermal heated tools and even extreme weather conditions.
This chemistry has never been seen before and opens up brand new possibilities in hairdressing colour variations and until Olaplex, nothing has been able to actually re-link those broken bonds.
How it works:
Olaplex No.1 is a ‘Bond Multiplier’ – This starts the process of seeking out those broken disulfide bonds and cross links them back together.
Olaplex No.2 is a ‘Bond Perfector’ – This is not a conditioning treatment, this works by being applied after No.1 and links the remaining disulfide bonds. Olaplex No.2 can also be used in other services such as a cut and blowdry or as a mini treatment – it contains the same active ingredient found in the ‘Bond Multiplier‘ however, it has been developed as a cream form for ease of use after any service.
Olaplex No.3 is a ‘Hair perfector’ – This is for home use by you, the client. It contains the same active ingredient as No.1 and No.2. If you have had a full service using No.1 and No.2, this No.3 cream should be used at least once a week at home for at least 20 minutes to maintain strong, healthy hair in between services as it continues to link bonds within the hair.
